【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulindeterminingtherelativedecayresistancebetweenvariousspeciesofwood.Itisaninitialmeansofestimatingtheabilityofawoodspeciestoresistseveremicrobialattackand,thereby,qualifyingtheperformancelevelofawoodspecies.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoprovidequantifiablyreproduciblevalues.Itisaqualitativetestmethoddesignedtoprovideareproduciblemeansofestablishingrelativedecayresistancebetweenvariousspeciesofwood.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofthenaturaldecayresistanceofwood.Thetestmethodmayalsobeusedtoevaluatetheresistanceofwoodproductsorofotherorganicmaterialssubjecttodecaybywood-destroyingfungi,suchasthoseemployedinthetest.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
