【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationoftheultimateanaerobicbiodegradabilityofplasticsbyanaerobicmicroorganisms.TheconditionsdescribedinthisInternationalStandarddonotnecessarilycorrespondtotheoptimumconditionsforthemaximumdegreeofbiodegradationtooccur.Thetestcallsforexposureofthetestmaterialtosludgeforaperiodofupto60days,whichislongerthanthenormalsludgeretentiontime(25to30days)inanaerobicdigesters,thoughdigestersatindustrialsitescanhavemuchlongerretentiontimes.Themethodappliestothefollowingmaterials:—Naturaland/orsyntheticpolymers,copolymersormixturesthereof;—Plasticmaterialswhichcontainadditivessuchasplasticizers,colorantsorothercompounds;—Water-solublepolymers;—Materialswhich,underthetestconditions,donotinhibitthemicroorganismspresentintheinoculum.Inhibitoryeffectscanbedeterminedusinganinhibitioncontrolorbyanotherappropriatemethod(seee.g.ISO13641).Ifthetestmaterialisinhibitorytotheinoculum,alowertestconcentration,anotherinoculumorapre-exposedinoculumcanbeused.
