【摘要】:Woodfailureisoneoftheprincipalmeansfordeterminingthequalityofanadhesivelybondedwoodjoint.Whenevaluatedafterawatersoaking,watersoakinganddrying,orboilinganddrying,thepercentageofwoodfailureisanimportantcriterionforqualifyingadhesivesforuseinplywoodandgluedlaminatedstructuraltimberforexterioruse,andfordailyqualitycontroloftheprocessesformanufacturingplywoodandglued,laminatedtimbers.StandardsthatusethepercentageofwoodfailureareincludedinSection2.InplywoodmanufacturedfromNorthAmericansoftwoodspecies,thepercentageofwoodfailureofTestMethodD906specimens,testedwetaftereitheravacuum-pressuresoak-dryorboil-drytreatment,correlateswiththepercentageofpanelsthatdelaminateinoutdoorexposurewithoutprotection.8Similarcorrelationsforotherproductshavenotbeenpublished.1.1Thispracticeprovidesproceduresforestimatingthepercentageofwoodfailurethatoccursinplywood-shear,block-shear,fingerjointtestspecimens,oranyotherbondlineinvolvingwood.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
